Privacy Policy

MidWestTech (www.mid-west-tech.com) sells equipment manuals. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site or order from us, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Order details. When you order, we receive your name, shipping address, email address, phone number (if one is given at checkout) and what you ordered.
Payment. Payments are processed by PayPal, whether you pay by card, with a PayPal account, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
Messages. If you email or call us, we keep your message so we can answer it.
Technical information. Like most websites, our web server and checkout service record standard request details, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

To ship and support your order, including your order confirmation and shipping emails.
To answer your questions and handle returns.
To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
To keep the business, accounting and sales tax records the law requires.

We do not send you marketing emails.

Your cart

Your cart is saved in your own browser on your device until you check out. It is not sent to us before then.

Who we share it with

PayPal, to process your payment, and Apple or Google if you pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay. Each handles your information under its own privacy policy.
USPS, to deliver your order.
The companies that host and run this site and its checkout, only as needed to provide that service.
Government authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Cookies and outside services

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your browser's standard request details when a page loads. When you pay, PayPal's checkout (and Apple Pay or Google Pay) may use its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as we need them for your order, returns, and our accounting and tax records, usually several years. Technical logs are kept for a short time.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Some order records must be kept for legal and tax reasons.

Children

This site is for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
